How to recover your external drive if you can’t see your files

cpromptFor those of you who are like me, using an external hard disk, if your external hard disk is infected with viruses and you can’t see your files, don’t panic, I just found a solution (for Windows users).
1. Open Command Prompt (click Run and then type cmd for XP, or click Accessories and then Command Prompt for Win 7)
2. While in cmd (C:\>), type the letter of your hard drive, press enter. Example, if the drive letter is K, type K and add a semi-colon like this K:
3. type the following: attrib /s /d -s -h -r
This will show all hidden files and folders in the drive. It works for me and I am very happy! 🙂
